This is a certified monster catch! Landing a 77kg (roughly 170-pound) Dogtooth Tuna—especially on a Vanguard VGD60-2 PE2 setup—is nothing short of a masterclass in angling.
Dogtooth are notorious for their brutal, blistering first runs and their immediate instinct to dive straight into the sharpest reef structure they can find to break you off. Trying to stop that kind of raw power on a relatively light PE2 line is like trying to stop a freight train with a rubber band.
An hour and a half fight means the angler had to play a flawless game of micro-managing their drag, maintaining constant pressure without pulling the hooks, and enduring pure physical exhaustion. One wrong move, or one second of impatience, and that fish would have been gone.
Massive respect to that angler's skill and stamina. That’s a true bucket-list fish caught in the most challenging way possible!
