Known as Universal Reel and Star Drag Grease. Cals Grease contains PTFE (Teflon) that reduces friction, wear, noisy and protects metal surfaces against corrosion. Excellent saltwater performance. Safe for plastic and coated parts. You can use Cal’s grease whatever area you want such as drive gear, bearings, drag washers etc. Cal’s has two versions of their grease product which are Tan and Purple. The Purple one is lighter than Tan ones. One of the best grease for fishing reels on the market.

Cals light grease(purple color)
This cals purple grease grease is one of lightest grease on the market and it is more thin than the tan colored grease which is scaled-down viscosity.
Aside from the scaled down viscosity the tan colored grease and the purple grease have the same specifications. This means, you could use this purple one at the colder climates and specially light fishing reels. but this doesn’t mean you cannot use purple cals grease at the summer seasons or hot season for your reel.
Since this purple cals grease is lighter than tan colored cals gease, reels that are spinning or baitcasting applied with this one is the more stable and giving more cranking performance.

Cals Grease (Tan color)
The tan clored version of Cal’s grease is sticky and heavy. It’s recommended to use specailly for hot climate use. It is an excellent grease used to prevent corrosion on reeels, it is best used on drive gears, bearings, worm gears, drag washers, shafts, body etc. this grease can be used on all types of fishing reels including conventional, baitcasting, spinning, surf etc.

If you have a carbontex drag washers on your reel or planning to use in future, Cal’s is the number one grease for carbontex drags and it’s provides a superior performance.
if planning to use this on light reels please use with caution only applying small amount, since it has a low viscosity applying too much might impede speed.
for light reels it is advisable to use the light purple version instead.
